May 15, 2012 is tax grievance day in Southampton and East Hampton Town. This is the only day of the year that you are legally allowed to challenge the assessed value of your home. If you are assessed unfairly we can file a complaint, represent you at the hearing and if necessary file a court proceeding to have your assessed value reduced.
